Post-Op Breast reduction for men (Gynecomastia) Photos: 1 year
This 31 year old patient, who is 6’0 and 255 lbs, came to Dr. Blau from Middlesex County, NJ. He had a condition called Gynecomastia which is an over-development in the male breast caused by an excess formation of mammary tissue beneath the breast. The patient began to feel uneasy at the prospect of removing his shirt in public and consulted with Dr. Blau, board certified plastic surgeon and a diplomate of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. The patient was impressed that over 50% of Dr. Blau’s practice is dedicated to the correction of Gynecomastia and that he has even developed his own surgical method of correcting the issue called the “Natural Blend Technique.” Male breast reduction surgery was performed, a procedure that involves the excision of the mammary tissue and a small amount of liposuction. No drain was required. The patient is very satisfied with the results and is happy to be free from his prior self-consciousness.
